Ask your colleagues for feedback, and not just your manager or people senior to you.
Ask specific questions, for example:
- "What’s one thing I could improve?"
- "How did that go from your perspective?" or
- "What do you think I might have done differently?"
You can also tailor the question to a specific situation, for example: "What is one thing I could have done better in that meeting?"
Avoid asking questions that are likely to result in just yes or no answers.
