Provide a safe space for the team to discuss what is going well, and what is not.
Start, Stop, Continue is one retrospective technique that encourages participants to come up with practical ideas:
- Start –> List ideas that the team should be doing but are not yet doing.
- Stop –> List ideas that are not delivering results, actions that should be stopped.
- Continue –> List ideas that are creating value.
There are lots of details that go into running a great retrospective. Consider getting a facilitator, for example, an experienced Scrum Master, or someone outside of the team to facilitate the retrospectives.
