Blameless Post-mortem

A post-mortem is a chance to learn lessons for the future, and understand why things unfolded the way they did.

The post-mortem is done after a project has concluded, or IT teams often do them after an incident happened.

People: 2 - 15

Time: 120 min

Tips:

- Remember not to assign blame or put people on the spot. Failure happens.

- Try to understand the expectations, assumptions, observed effects, actions that happened, and team members understanding of timelines of events as they occurred.
