Risk management in Agile software development projects
In Agile risks are identified continuously during sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Use risk categories to identify more risks
Grouping risks into categories (e.g. vendors, quality, culture, technical...) helps teams identify more risks. However, using a list of risk categories can limit creative thinking, because people overlook things that are not in the categories.
First use other methods to identify risks, and only afterward have people review the risk category list to see if they can identify any more risks.
